I am thrilled to announce that I have been appointed as a Board Director for the North American Linen Association (NALA)! This opportunity marks a significant milestone in my journey toward advancing sustainable solutions within the textiles and apparel industry.
Why NALA?
NALA plays a critical role in promoting the growth, innovation, and sustainability of flax and linen across North America. With a strong focus on fostering industry collaboration, education, and advocacy, the organization is at the forefront of supporting regenerative agriculture and responsible fiber sourcing. As a long-time advocate for circular fashion and sustainable textiles, I am honored to contribute to NALA’s mission.
My Role and Vision
As a Board Director, I will leverage my expertise in circular economy principles, sustainable supply chains, and eco-design to:
Advocate for increased flax farming in North America, reducing reliance on imports and strengthening regional supply chains.
Support regenerative agriculture initiatives that improve soil health and biodiversity.
Foster collaborations between brands, suppliers, and industry leaders to accelerate the adoption of responsible linen production.
Educate stakeholders on the environmental and economic benefits of linen, a natural, biodegradable, and durable fiber.
Looking Ahead
The demand for sustainable and locally sourced fibers is growing, and linen has the potential to be a game-changer in the movement toward a more regenerative and transparent fashion industry. I am eager to work alongside industry pioneers to drive impactful change and create a more resilient future for textiles.
I look forward to sharing insights, updates, and opportunities to collaborate as I embark on this new chapter. Stay tuned for more developments!
If you’re as passionate about the future of sustainable textiles as I am, let’s connect and explore ways to work together!
